After specialising in marketing and advertising at degree level, Lauren has since spent over 5 years working with a diverse range of health-focused clients to develop and implement impactful campaigns that conquer the business and marketing challenges they face.
Her work for an established North East charity put her in the heart of local communities, experiencing the behaviours and lifestyle choices of young and old. One of Lauren’s key achievements was successfully coordinating a health programme, targeting regional people who were at higher risk of long-term health conditions such as cancer, diabetes, heart disease and stroke. Working to a limited budget, she used social media, local press and face-to-face marketing activities to encourage people to get on-board the charity’s ‘HealthBus’, where they were offered a blood pressure check, advice and support to encourage them to make the lifestyle changes required to reduce their risk of illness in later life.
At Onyx Health, she has project managed many communication programmes, ranging from medical education for oncology nurses to engaging with consumers to encourage them to understand more about conception. Lauren is noted in the organisation for her attention to detail and meticulous planning. Her areas of expertise include managing social media on various platforms including Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn and Google+, using them as a key tool to engage with target audiences, especially on health matters.
Lauren specialises in efficient, targeted content generation across several communication channels and has helped deliver successful campaigns for clients using her media relations, events management and project management skills.
