In the run to the NHS’s 70th birthday this week there has been plenty of conjecture and debate of what the next 70 years will hold for our treasured health service.
The NHS Confederation however, is calling for a national conversation about the NHS for the more immediate future. As such, it has set out 10 actions, which would underpin specific priorities of a plan for NHS in England over the next ten years.
The plan itself would set clear outcomes for patients, but crucially needs to involve those who use and work for the service.
