This week our resident Content Writer Andrew Hair sat down with the newest recruit to Onyx Health‘s account management team, Account Executive Hannah Riley, to learn more about her skills and background.
Hannah said “After studying English Language and Literature at Newcastle University, I started my career working in publishing for a company in a client facing role. My first foray into agency life came in 2019 when I joined the team at County Durham based firm. I became actively involved in project and client management work. I was lucky enough to learn a thing or two about the healthcare sector there by working alongside pharmaceutical clients.”
“This was a wide-ranging role that involved everything from liaising with clients on the internal communications, to filming new employee orientation and updating design and digital projects.”
Hannah commented “One of my core strengths is my client management experience. I had a transformative effect on the relationship between the agency I worked for and a client they were in danger of losing. At the time of leaving the business, the client had increased their budget with the agency considerably, stating that the working relationship was the best it had ever been. “
“I also have a diverse skillset, having worked across so many different client projects, which is ideal for agency life. I look forward to putting these skills to good use with Onyx Health’s diverse portfolio of clients”.
Hannah explained “I work across a range of clients at Onyx Health, where I’m putting my project management skills to good use. The fast-paced nature of healthcare marketing appeals to my need to feel challenged by my work. Knowing that I am contributing towards helping others plays a big part in my passion for this role.”
“My passion lies in acting as an extension of my client’s team to generate creative ideas and achieve eye catching results. I’m outgoing by nature and relish the opportunity to work collaboratively with clients to make things happen.”
Hannah said “I’ve been a voracious reader since I was a child and still get through at least two books a week. I spent most of my childhood and teenage years with my nose stuck in a book. I am also a firm believer that dogs are a woman’s best friend. I’ve even signed up to an app called Borrow My Doggy. I can often be found roaming the streets of Gateshead walking other people’s dogs with a pooper scooper in hand.”
“Before coronavirus changed everything, I used to enjoy going out for food and drinks with my family and friends. These days I try to keep myself out of trouble by spending time on my allotment and occasionally going out running. One of my proudest achievements is completing a couch to 5k training plan and raising money for charity by completing the Race for Life.”
