Improving disease awareness to create change

Endometriosis is a condition often overlooked by healthcare professionals (HCPs) and frequently dismissed by society as a pain women have to simply ‘put up with’. We wanted to highlight the severity of the problem of mistreated and misdiagnosed patients using Endometriosis Awareness Month as a springboard to communicate to our followers. By empowering women to share their experiences we’ve supported in the mission to create change.

Working together with endometriosis patients

Putting the patient at the heart of this campaign was important. We teamed up with influencers and individuals willing to share their experiences, transforming their powerful messages into an array of multimedia content that resonated across all digital channels.

Going beyond the rhetoric

What’s more, as part of our commitment to enable those with endometriosis to thrive at work, we updated our internal policies to proudly become one of 113 Endometriosis Friendly Employers in the UK, thus creating a workplace culture that fosters empathy and a sense of belonging for both existing and new employees.

We also created a free, downloadable symptoms tracker to help those seeking an endometriosis diagnosis in their interactions with HCPs.
